What You’ll Do:
Lead and grow AECOM's building engineering practice in Boston, balancing technical excellence, team development, client service, and business performance.
Develop and execute a strategic plan to expand local MEP capabilities and build an integrated, multidisciplinary engineering team.
Drive major project pursuits — both stand-alone MEP/FP work and as part of larger multi-discipline teams.
Act as technical leader and quality reviewer across a range of project sizes and complexities., creating an environment where talented engineers can do their best work.
Serve as design manager on complex projects with significant engineering scope, working closely with project managers to deliver high quality documents.
Lead interdisciplinary coordination/quality reviews and ensure engineering standards are met.
Coach, mentor and develop engineers at all career stages, helping them achieve technical, professional, and leadership goals.
Manage forecasting, resource planning, and staff performance, including goal-setting and annual reviews for mechanical department. Assist the electrical department manager to do the same.
Represent AECOM to clients, participate in interviews, and help craft winning proposals.
Provide technical vision and thought leadership for mechanical engineering across the Boston practice.

Minimum Qualifications:
10+ years of mechanical engineering experience on multi-disciplinary projects.
2+ years of HVAC or mechanical team leadership experience.
PE license in Mechanical Engineering, with the ability to obtain licensure in additional U.S. states.
Preferred Qualifications:
15+ years of experience including at least two in a leadership role.
Affinity for client service and business development.
Proven ability to build positive working relationships and lead through influence and inclusivity.
Experience with aviation, transportation and/or federal sector projects.
Strong background in sustainable and high-performance building design.
Familiarity with central utility plant systems.
