Job Summary

Old Dominion Floor Company has been Richmond’s first choice for hardwood, tile, and carpet since 1987. We are looking for a sharp, organized, and reliable Office Administrator with bookkeeping experience to manage the daily operations of our Midlothian showroom and office.

If you have a background in the construction or flooring industry and a "can-do" attitude toward both customer service and accounting, we want you on our team.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • A/P & A/R Management: Process vendor invoices, manage subcontractor payments, and ensure timely client billing.
  • Payroll Support: Assist in processing weekly payroll and maintaining employee records.
  • Financial Tracking: Record daily transactions, reconcile bank statements, and prepare basic financial reports for management.
  • Job Costing: Work with project leads to track material costs and labor against project budgets.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in Office Administration. Previous experience in bookkeeping or basic accounting is required.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the flooring, construction, or home improvement industry is a significant plus.
  • Technical Skills:
  • * Ability to learn flooring-specific software for estimates and ordering.
  • Soft Skills:
  • * Exceptional attention to detail (crucial for contract review and billing).
  • Strong communication skills—comfortable speaking with both high-end home builders and residential clients.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced showroom environment.
