Job Title: Caregiver (Full-Time) – Thursday through Sunday

Location: Sandia View Assisted Living , Albuquerque, New Mexico 87120 or Vista Grande Care Group, Albuquerque 87120

Some flexibility may be required for scheduling changes or coverage

Starting Pay: $15.00–$16.00 per hour

About Us: Sandia View Assisted Living is a boutique style, resident-centered assisted living facility dedicated to delivering compassionate, resident-centered care in a homelike setting. We’re seeking a motivated, dependable caregiver who values teamwork and can thrive both in collaborative environments and when working independently to support residents’ daily needs and well-being.

Position Summary: As a Caregiver, you will provide essential daytime and evening care to residents, helping with activities of daily living, safety, comfort, and dignity. You’ll work as part of a close-knit team and, when needed, take initiative to complete tasks independently to ensure residents receive polite, respectful, and consistent care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and feeding as needed.
  • Monitor residents for changes in condition; report changes to licensed staff and document appropriately.
  • Assist with meal planning and dining assistance; support residents during meals and ensure proper nutrition.
  • Respond promptly to call bells and emergencies; perform safety checks and rounds during shifts.
  • Support medication administration or assistance per facility policy, in coordination with licensed nurses.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment; assist with light housekeeping and laundry as needed.
  • Foster a warm, respectful, and person-centered atmosphere; communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
  • Participate in care planning and ongoing quality improvement initiatives as requested.
  • Adapt to scheduling needs and contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in assisted living or a related caregiving setting (preferred).
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within a defined timeframe).
  • Ability to pass background checks and any required state certifications.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated compassion, patience, and a resident-centered approach.
  • Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
  • Physical ability to assist residents with mobility and daily tasks.
