Sr. Accountant

We are partnering with a growing organization in the renewable energy space in the Raleigh-Durham area seeking a Senior Accountant to join their expanding accounting team. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity for a hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and enjoys working across a wide range of accounting functions. This role will be 4 days a week onsite in Durham. Key ResponsibilitiesExecute month-end close activities, including journal entries and variance analysisPrepare and review account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completenessManage full-cycle accounting responsibilities across multiple areas of the general ledgerSupport accounting for project growth, asset expansion, and related transactionsAssist with cash accounting and other general accounting functions as neededPartner cross-functionally with leadership and internal teams on day-to-day accounting needsMaintain accurate financial records and support process improvements and scalabilityContribute effectively in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and evolving processesIdeal CandidateA true 'doer' who is comfortable diving into the details and owning the workAdaptable, resourceful, and solutions-orientedBroad accounting experience across multiple functions rather than a narrow specialtyStrong problem-solver with a willingness to step in wherever needed
