Job Overview

At Woodlake we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in various settings, including long-term care facilities and acute care environments. The LPN will work closely with registered nurses and physicians to ensure that patients receive the best possible care, while also maintaining accurate medical documentation and adhering to established protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct physical examinations and assess patients' health status.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Perform routine nursing tasks, including wound care and vital signs monitoring.
  • Document patient information accurately in electronic health records, such as Epic.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in travel nursing assignments as needed, providing care in various locations.
  • Stay updated on best practices for botulinum toxin treatment and other specialized procedures.

Experience

  • Previous experience in long-term care or acute care settings is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ICD-9 coding for accurate medical documentation is a plus.
  • Experience working in a Level I Trauma Center is advantageous but not required.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment are essential.
  • A valid LPN license is required, along with any necessary certifications for specialized procedures.

Job Types: Part-time, PRN

Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
