Swiss Lathe Operator – Chicago, IL

Location: Chicago, IL | Full-Time | On-Site

Join a team where your skills directly impact the production of high-precision components used in critical industries like medical, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing. We are looking for a Swiss Lathe Operator who takes pride in craftsmanship, accuracy, and continuous improvement. We are accepting applications to fill our night shift positions.

What You’ll Do:

Set up & operate Swiss lathes to produce high-quality parts.

Read and interpret blueprints & engineering drawings.

Perform inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

Check finished parts to tight tolerances (up to 4 decimal places).

Make tool offsets and minor program edits to maintain quality and efficiency.

Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Train team members as needed and contribute to continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For:

Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools accurately.

Knowledge of algebra, trigonometry, and GD&T preferred.

Strong communication skills.

Must be a U.S. citizen or able to comply with U.S. export regulations.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship.

Experience and Education:

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

2+ years of experience operating Swiss Lathe or CNC Lathe.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, sit, or bend for up to 10 hours per day.

Lift up to 35 lbs. independently and with control.

Reach overhead, use hands for extended periods, and maintain dexterity.

Ability to stoop or kneel for extended durations.Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Work Environment:

Regular movement through manufacturing areas near industrial machinery and moderate noise levels.

This is an on-site role; remote work is not available.
