The available position is for a Route Rider, a key role within Bimbo Bakeries USA's sales operation. This position involves a combination of driving, merchandising, sales, and customer relationship management to help maintain and grow the company’s market presence. Route Riders start their day early, typically between 3 AM and 5 AM, and work a first-shift schedule with Wednesdays and Sundays off. Compensation includes a weekly base pay of $187.50 plus commission, translating to an annual average income between $45,000 and $65,000. In this capacity, Route Riders are responsible for merchandising and stocking products, ensuring proper rotation to maintain freshness, as well as driving sales by securing new display space and setting up additional displays. They use sales data to develop effective strategies at the store level and build strong relationships with customers by following up on new account opportunities and ensuring promotion execution. The role requires daily route settlement, including product accounting, invoice handling, inventory management, and paperwork submission. Route Riders must also operate company route trucks safely, maintain DOT daily logs, and comply with transportation regulations.
