School-Based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
A supportive school district in the Houston, TX area is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a school-based position for the 2026–2027 school year. This role is with Cypress-Fairbanks ISD and will be split between Spillane Middle School and Cy Ridge High School.
The school team is looking for a qualified SLPA who is comfortable working onsite and is proficient in sign language, with the ability to hold a conversation.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy support under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Assist with implementing treatment plans for middle school and high school students
- Support students with communication, articulation, language, and social communication needs
- Use sign language to support student communication needs as appropriate
- Collaborate with supervising SLPs, teachers, and school staff
- Maintain documentation and track student progress as directed
Experience:
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Experience working with middle school and high school students is a plus
- Must be proficient in sign language and able to hold a conversation
Education & Licensure:
- Active Texas SLPA license required
- Must meet all state and district requirements for school-based SLPA practice
Position Details:

- End Date: May 27, 2027
- Hours: 35 hours per week
- Schedule: 7 hours per day, plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch
- Part-Time Consideration: Will accept part-time, no less than 3 days per week

- Schools Assigned: Split between Spillane Middle School and Cy Ridge High School
- Service Model: Onsite only
