Neurology Medical Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Assistant to support our clinic. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment and has experience assisting with neurological and cardiovascular patient care.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints
• Assist providers with neurological exams and procedures
• Prepare patients for diagnostic testing (EEG, EMG, etc.)
• Perform basic clinical tasks such as EKGs, injections, and specimen collection
• Document patient information accurately in the EMR system
• Coordinate with providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow
• Educate patients on medications, testing, and follow-up care
• Handle prior authorizations, referrals, and prescription requests
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and clinical equipment

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, RMA, or equivalent experience)
• Experience in neurology, cardiology, or internal medicine preferred
• Familiarity with EMR systems
• Strong clinical, organizational, and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication and patient care abilities
