Key Responsibilities:

• Security & Patrol:
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas or maintain a fixed post to monitor activity.
• Control access points and manage pedestrian/vehicle traffic.
• Identify and report suspicious activity, incidents, or safety concerns promptly.
• Respond effectively to alarms, emergencies, and incidents on-site.
• Monitoring & Reporting:
• Monitor CCTV cameras and security systems diligently.
• Complete daily activity logs, incident reports, and required documentation accurately.
• Maintain an acute awareness of surroundings at all times.
• Safety & Compliance:
• Adhere to all post orders, company policies, and safety procedures.
• Keep updated knowledge of emergency response protocols.
• Inspect property for potential safety risks (fire hazards, equipment issues, etc.).
• Support loss prevention efforts and offer safety improvement recommendations.
• Customer Service:
• Greet and assist customers, employees, and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Provide directions and support as needed throughout your shift.
• Maintain a visible and approachable presence on-site at all times.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to remain alert and respond calmly in emergency situations.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions effectively.
• Strong report writing skills with clarity and accuracy.
• Professional appearance and demeanor are essential.
• State Guard license required; assistance to obtain this can be provided.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Preferred:

• Previous security or customer-facing experience.
• Familiarity with CCTV systems, alarms, or access control systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma and/or equivalent (GED).
• Must be willing to submit to a background and drug screening; employment offer contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• City Security license must be acquired upon hire.
