Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a highly experienced Systems Architect to lead the front-end architecture and technical strategy for complex engineering programs. This role is ideal for a systems thinker who thrives in ambiguity, can translate customer needs into robust system-level solutions, and brings deep experience guiding multidisciplinary teams through challenging technical landscapes.
You’ll play a critical role in shaping system architectures, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring engineering execution aligns with program goals. You may also serve as a Chief Programmatic Engineer on select programs and contribute to technical strategy during business development efforts.
What You’ll Get to Do
Lead technical risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies across programs
Define system-level requirements and architecture balancing performance, cost, schedule, and customer needs
Translate customer requirements into actionable engineering specifications
Serve as a technical liaison between customers, program management, and engineering teams
Mentor engineers in systems thinking and requirements development
Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to enhance capabilities
Support technical strategy and solution development during sales pursuits
Facilitate build reviews and technical decision-making across multi-functional teams
What You Bring to the Team
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related field (or equivalent experience)
10–15 years of experience in systems engineering, product development, or technical program leadership
Proven ability to translate customer needs into system requirements and architectures
Strong experience managing technical risk and leading complex design efforts
Expertise with systems engineering methodologies and tools (e.g., requirements management, MBSE)
Ability to integrate across multiple engineering fields and identify system-level challenges early
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic attitude
Experience facilitating technical discussions and presenting to customers and partners
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, presentation software, Outlook)
Willingness to travel domestically (5–20%)
