Overview

Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a 2nd shift Quality Control Inspector, where your keen eye and technical expertise will ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. You will be responsible for inspecting aerospace components, and finished goods to verify dimensional compliance with blueprint requirements .

Duties

  • Conduct detailed inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and vision inspection systems.
  • Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to verify dimensional accuracy and mechanical conformity.
  • Utilize coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for complex measurements requiring high precision.
  • Collect data systematically during inspections to support quality management systems (QMS) and prepare detailed reports on inspection outcomes.
  • Identify non-conformances and collaborate with production teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in calibration and maintenance of measurement tools like height gauges, micrometers, calipers, and vision systems to ensure measurement accuracy.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing inspection data to identify trends or recurring issues impacting product quality.

Skills

  • Proficiency with precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and vision inspection systems.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Analytical skills for data collection, analysis, and reporting related to quality control activities.
  • Excellent attention to detail combined with strong problem-solving skills to identify root causes of defects or inconsistencies.
