East Valley School District 361 Trent Elementary - Spokane Valley, Washington Starting Date: Aug 20, 2026 Reports to: Building Principal Work Schedule: 7.5 hours per day, 184 days per year, starting at the beginning of the 2026/2027 school year.
Salary: East Valley Certificated Salary Schedule, $59,310 - $119,456 depending on placement per degree, credits, and experience.
Job Summary: Under the direction and supervision of the principal or designee, this teaching position will plan instruction, teach, motivate, inspire, and assess students. This teaching position will promote a high‑quality education program that reflects state standards.
Essential Job Functions
Implement education programs and instruction that address individual student learning needs. Develop lesson plans aligned with Washington State standards using district curriculum and guidelines. Create a positive educational climate with high learning expectations for all students.
Recognize individual student learning needs and implement differentiation strategies. Promote the district’s educational goals through parent conferences and related activities. Manage classroom behavior with clear parameters and consistent, respectful responses.
Integrate technology in a blended learning environment to enhance student learning and collaboration.
Implement Positive Behavior
Interventions and Supports (PBIS). Communicate frequently with families about the instructional program and student progress. Proctor required exams and assessments. Use formative and summative assessment to modify instruction and improve student learning.
Maintain appropriate and accurate student records. Participate in a Professional Learning Community (PLC) to use data to support student growth. Pursue professional growth through coursework, workshops, and reading.
