Role Responsibilities

  • Fully disassemble vehicles to assist collision estimators in determining damage and devising a precise repair plan.
  • Ensure all necessary repairs are identified to reduce supplements and repair duration.
  • Adhere to the work order for all specified operations.
  • Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical systems, and window mechanisms as needed for damage repair access; secure parts to prevent damage.
  • Repair damaged bodywork by hammering out dents, filling in voids, and welding as needed. Ensure alignment and fit to industry standards, and reassemble after painting.
  • Utilize various hand and power tools, including welders, soldering tools, torches, sanders, and spray guns.
  • File, grind, and sand repaired areas before transferring to the Paint Department.
  • Repair or replace defective components.
  • Conduct inspections and test drives of repaired vehicles to verify safety and quality compliance.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Minimum age: 18
  • I-CAR / ASE certifications are a plus
  • Preferably 2-3 years of experience in collision repair
  • Valid driver's license is required
  • Customer-centric with strong team collaboration skills
  • Ability to comprehend and execute written instructions
  • Successful completion of a background check

Physical and Environmental Requirements

While carrying out job duties, you will regularly need to use your hands, and communicate verbally. You will frequently stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. Occasionally, you may need to reach with hands and arms and handle items weighing up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities required for this role include close vision, peripheral vision, and focus adjustment.
