About the Role
uNITE Sleep Institute is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant (MA) to join our growing team. This position will play a vital role in supporting both back-office and front-office functions, helping us deliver an exceptional patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical / Medical Assistant Duties:
- Room patients and obtain vitals, patient history, and intake documentation.
- Assist with clinical procedures and ensure exam rooms are properly stocked and maintained.
- Fax and track referrals, DME orders, and testing orders
- Support providers by following up on referrals and coordinating patient care.
- Cover open MA shifts and support team members as required.
Front Desk / Administrative Duties (as needed):
- Greet patients, check them in and out, and verify insurance information.
- Collect co-payments and process billing-related paperwork.
- Schedule patient appointments and follow-up visits.
- Educate patients on proper use of Home Sleep Testing equipment.
Qualifications
- Required: Medical Assistant certification or equivalent training/experience.
- Minimum 2 years of previous experience in a clinical setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first mindset.
- Ability to multitask and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus!
- Knowledge of electronic medical records (Athena experience a plus).

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
