Position: Social Worker-LISW/ LPCC - Located In Office at Fort Bragg, North Carolina
Overview
Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC) Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health is inviting a licensed clinical social worker (or similar professional) to join our Trauma Program. The position is funded by a DoD grant in collaboration with Fort Bragg and requires the applicant to reside near Fayetteville, NC. The successful candidate will bring extensive clinical experience with PTSD, military service members, and veterans, and will contribute to research, education, and clinical programs.
Responsibilities
- Advance an externally funded research program and publish findings in peer‑reviewed scientific journals.
- Mentor trainees at various levels of academic development.
- Participate in division and department initiatives, serving as the main point of contact among on‑site staff, OSU staff, and DoD leadership.
- Balance clinical responsibilities with leadership duties and supervision of related positions.
- Apply expertise in randomized clinical trials, military populations, trauma‑specialized therapies, and intervention/efficacy research.
Qualifications
- Advanced clinical degree (e.g., LCSW) from an accredited program.
- State licensure (LISW or LPCC) in Ohio and suitability for licensure in North Carolina.
- Minimum of one year of relevant clinical experience; two to four years preferred.
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information eligibility.
- Strong leadership and coordination skills across on‑site, OSU, and DoD teams.
