About Greensuns Construction
Greensuns is a family-owned heavy civil contractor with a reputation built on safety, precision, and finishing the job right. From mass grading and site development to utilities, roadwork, and large-scale excavation, we take on the projects that move dirt and build the backbone of our communities.
We started as a family business, and we still run like one — people here know each other's names, look out for one another, and take pride in the work. Now we're growing, winning bigger projects and expanding our crews, and we're looking for a skilled Equipment Operator who wants to grow right along with us.
What You'll Do
- Safely and productively operate a range of heavy equipment — excavators, dozers, loaders, scrapers, motor graders, and rollers, depending on the project.
- Move, grade, backfill, and shape material to plan, working from grade stakes, blueprints, and grade-control systems.
- Hold line and grade to tolerance while protecting existing utilities and structures.
- Follow all excavation, trench, and site safety requirements, including proper sloping, shoring, and spoil placement.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections, routine maintenance, and report mechanical issues promptly.
- Coordinate closely with foremen, laborers, pipe crews, and inspectors to keep work moving efficiently.
- Keep a clean, organized, and hazard-aware work area at all times.
What You Bring

- 2+ years operating heavy equipment on civil, site, or utility projects.
- Proficiency with at least one core machine (excavator, dozer, loader, or blade) and willingness to cross-train on others.

- Working knowledge of OSHA site and trench safety standards.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work outdoors in varying conditions, with a strong safety mindset.
Preferred
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
- Experience with GPS / machine-control grade systems.
- Competent Person training for excavation.
- Valid CDL (Class A or B).
- Experience on larger heavy civil or public-works projects.
What We Offer
- Competitive pay based on experience and skill.
