DWC Mechanical is looking to add a Construction Sales Consultant to join the sales team, developing sales opportunities for HVAC service. DWC Mechanical is a mechanical contractor that has been serving Western New York for over 30 years, becoming one of the most recognized and respected names in the area!

OVERVIEW

The Sales Consultant is responsible for promoting, selling, and providing technical expertise for commercial HVAC construction to clients. This role involves developing new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing customers, and ensuring technical solutions meet client needs and specifications.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to identify and generate new sales opportunities.
  • Build relationships with property managers, facility directors, and end-users through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Responsible for promoting, selling, and providing technical expertise for commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) construction services to clients.
  • Identify and generate new sales opportunities in the commercial HVAC market.
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations and proposals to clients.
  • Provide expert advice on HVAC products, systems, and solutions tailored to customer requirements.
  • Prepare detailed estimates, quotations, and proposals.
  • Collaborate with estimating, project management, and technical teams to ensure proper solution design, accurate scope and pricing.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and competitors’ offerings.
  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the company.
  • Present professional proposals and deliver ROI messaging to prospective customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of opportunities, proposals, and pipeline activity using our CRM tools.
  • Coordinate internally for unit replacement opportunities arising from PM evaluations.
  • Monitor market trends and competition to identify strategic opportunities.
  • Attend industry networking events, association meetings, and bid walks, as needed.
  • Support the public bid process for unit replacement opportunities where appropriate

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of sales experience, ideally in HVAC, mechanical service, building automation, or facility management.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a B2B environment.
  • Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and maintenance principles is strongly desired.
  • Experience working with service or construction contracts preferred.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Sales Consultant collaborates with other members of the team to generate quotes but does not directly supervise others.
