Vighter is recruiting Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to conduct basic screening assessments and provide healthcare services to individuals at the VA Medical Center in Louisville, KY.

Obtain and document patient's current medical history, drug history, chief complaints, allergies and vital signs on the correct form.

Maintain examination room stock levels and perform routine maintenance of examination rooms.

Complete lab and x-ray requisitions in accordance with clinic policies.

Enter demographic data into the computer upon patient check-in; Military Veterans, their Families, and other patients as assigned.

Knowledge of regulations (HIPAA/Privacy Act) regarding the confidentiality of patient medical records and information as well as Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

Must have exceptional customer service skills.

Employees shall be technically proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the job requirements, including ability to speak, understand, read and write English fluently.

Ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment with limited supervision

High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Qualifying experience includes hospital, outpatient clinic, nursing home, or other supervised medical, nursing, or patient care facility that provided direct patient care.

American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for health care providers, AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, American Red Cross CPB/BLS for the professional rescuer, American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI).

However, this position supports 24/7 operations which may require work to be conducted at night and on weekends.

There are shift opportunities Days, evenings, nights and weekend shifts are available.

#Monday through Sunday, 7 a.m. - excluding Federal holidays.

b) Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) shall provide a tour which consists of eight (8) working hours with a 30-minute meal break (non-paid) and two 15-minute breaks (paid).

d) Federal Holidays: The eleven (11) holidays observed by the Federal Government are:

• New Year's Day
• Veterans Day
• Christmas

Any other day specifically declared by the President of the United States to be a federal holiday. When one of the holidays falls on Sunday, the following Monday shall be observed as a Federal Holiday. When a holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be observed as a Federal Holiday.
