Position Overview:
Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Registered Nurse (Neuro ICU) to fill an opening at a hospital located in Marrero, LA. This role requires a highly skilled RN to care for critically ill patients with neurological conditions such as traumatic brain injury, stroke, intracranial hemorrhage, seizures, and post-neurosurgical complications.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive and frequent neurologic assessments, including pupil checks, motor/sensory function, cranial nerve evaluation, and GCS scoring.
Monitor and manage patients with stroke (tPA administration, post-thrombectomy care), TBI, status epilepticus, brain tumors, and post-craniotomy.
Manage invasive monitoring devices such as ICP monitors, EVDs, and arterial lines.
Titrate continuous IV infusions (propofol, nicardipine, levetiracetam, mannitol, hypertonic saline, and vasopressors).
Operate and troubleshoot ventilators; maintain airway patency and manage secretions.
Collaborate with neurosurgeons, neurologists, respiratory therapists, and bedside staff for timely interventions.
Provide emotional support and education to families regarding complex neurologic conditions and prognosis.
Maintain rapid response readiness for acute neurologic deterioration, including herniation syndromes or status epilepticus.
Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the EMR.
