In this crucial role, you will work closely with patients to facilitate their journey towards restored mobility and achieved functional independence. Our practice is proudly owned and managed by experienced physical therapists who are passionate about providing patient-centered care. We specialize in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation, and our patient base is primarily composed of individuals with private medical insurance. With a strong commitment to clinical excellence, we strive to be a trusted partner in our patients' healing processes.

Work Environment

As an onsite Physical Therapist at our home care facility, you will be part of a collaborative team consisting of two skilled physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA). Our work environment emphasizes teamwork, mutual respect, and continuous improvement, allowing every staff member to contribute meaningfully to patient care. The office hours are set from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, promoting a solid work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify individual patient needs, goals, and movement limitations.
  • Manage a patient caseload with a commitment to personalized attention, typically providing one-on-one therapy sessions lasting one hour each.
  • Implement evidence-based treatment interventions that aim to enhance patients' range of motion, strength, and overall functionality.
  • Develop individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s specific rehabilitation goals and monitor their progress throughout treatment.
  • Educate patients on alternative methods to manage pain and minimize dependence on medication and surgical interventions.
  • Design fitness and wellness programs that focus on improving patients’ physical health and preventing future injuries.
  • Foster an encouraging atmosphere that motivates patients to adhere to their therapy schedules and to take an active role in their recovery.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care, sharing insights on treatment outcomes and patient progress.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all patient interactions and therapy services delivered.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients primarily consist of individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgical interventions, or chronic pain conditions. This role involves working closely with a diverse population that may include athletes needing rehabilitation post-injury, seniors aiming to improve mobility, and others seeking to enhance physical wellness. Your expertise will play a critical role in helping these individuals regain strength, movement, and confidence in their physical abilities.

Qualifications

  • A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (MPT/DPT) from an accredited institution.
  • Possession of a valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
  • An unblemished professional record, free from any disciplinary actions.
  • Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and current best practices in physical rehabilitation.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective exercise protocols tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Familiarity with EMR software, particularly WebPT, to document patient interactions efficiently.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience working specifically in outpatient orthopedic settings is strongly preferred, as it aligns closely with our patient care approach.
  • Proven competency in managing a diverse caseload and delivering patient-focused therapy.
