As demand continues to grow, Cox Manufacturing is expanding its CNC Swiss machining team to support increasing production across a wide range of precision-machined components.

As one of the largest precision turning manufacturers in the United States, Cox operates more than 100 production machines across three shifts, supplying millions of precision components each week to customers in aerospace, defense, medical, automotive, electronics, energy, and other critical industries. This role is essential to maintaining world-class quality, maximizing machine performance, and driving continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing process.

What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

  • Set up, optimize, and troubleshoot CNC Swiss machines for production
  • Read, interpret, and make adjustments to CNC programs as needed
  • Assist machine operators in resolving production issues and improving machine performance
  • Select and optimize tooling to maximize precision, tool life, and efficiency
  • Read blueprints and job layouts to ensure accurate setups
  • Verify part quality using precision measuring equipment
  • Collaborate with process engineers to improve cycle times, quality, and overall manufacturing efficiency
  • Help maintain consistent production while meeting quality and delivery requirements

You'll primarily work with:

  • Tornos CNC Swiss Machines
  • Tsugami CNC Swiss Machines
  • Swiss-type CNC turning centers
  • Precision bar-fed production equipment

Inspection equipment includes:

  • Micrometers
  • Calipers
  • Precision measuring instruments

Depending on production requirements, you'll machine a variety of materials, including:

  • Aluminum
  • Steel
  • Stainless Steel
  • Brass
  • Copper
  • Titanium
  • High-temperature alloys
  • Engineering plastics

What We're Looking For

Required

  • Experience setting up and operating CNC Swiss machines
  • Strong blueprint reading and print interpretation skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot CNC programs and production issues
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment including micrometers and calipers
  • Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and production processes
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality parts
  • Team-oriented mindset and commitment to continuous improvement

Preferred

  • Experience with Tornos Swiss machines
  • Experience with Tsugami Swiss machines
  • High-volume production machining experience
  • Experience collaborating with manufacturing or process engineers
  • Experience optimizing cycle times and tooling performance

Pay, Benefits & Schedule

Pay

$26.00–$40.00 per hour, depending on experience.
