This is a benefited, full-time Medical Assistant position in the Pediatrics Department at Scripps Clinic Rancho Bernardo. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This role requires performing both front office and back office Medical Assistant duties.

Job Duties:
- This is position is a hybrid Medical Assistant/Patient Services Rep (PSR) role, splitting time between back- and front-office duties
- Administering vaccines to infants through adolescents
- Rooming patients, checking vitals, assisting with procedures
- Clinic prep assisting with Provider specific protocols
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment
- Organizes and performs patient care services that support the physician’s practice
- Relaying instructions from the physician to the patient or authorized person
- Collecting patient data in person and by phone
- Documenting patient concerns, messages and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician's review
- Administering medications specifically directed by the physician
- Scheduling of appointments and procedures
- Complete and accurate message taking
- Routing messages to the appropriate area for direction
- Order and referral entry, acquisition of pre-certifications
- Setting up of cases in EPIC plus basic registration and updating of demographics
