Dispatcher

Company Overview:

Aerotek is seeking a full-time Dispatcher with a manual transmission endorsement to join our operations team. This role supports the delivery of materials across various locations, ensuring safe and efficient transportation. You will play a key part in maintaining operational excellence and supporting Aerotek's commitment to quality service and workforce development.

Role and Responsibilities:

Your role as a Dispatcher will involve driving different trucks, predominantly roll-off vehicles, while adhering to safety regulations and company procedures. You will be integral to efficient logistics operations by conducting vehicle inspections, keeping detailed records, and assisting with material handling tasks.

• Skillfully and efficiently manage the operation of different truck models
• Prior to departing and upon arrival, perform vehicle checks
• Engage in the process of loading and unloading materials based on demand
• Sustain precise documentation and logs consistently
• Comply with both the regulatory standards of the DOT and the company regarding safety

Required Skills and Experience:

• Securing a CDL Class A License with a manual transmission endorsement involves demonstrating competence in operating commercial vehicles with manual gearboxes and understanding the unique challenges they present
• Safe driving practices
• Vehicle inspection and essential maintenance capabilities refer to the necessary skills for examining and upkeeping cars
• The optimization of routes is essential for maximizing efficiency in transportation and logistics
• Being capable of lifting weights exceeding 50 pounds and maneuvering in and out of vehicles
• Versatility among different types of trucks
• Basic mechanical knowledge
• Attention to detail
• Team-oriented attitude

PTO Schedule:

• Year one saw a collective work time of 40 hours
• In the second year, there are 80 hours
• In the fifth year: a total of 120 hours are required
• Beyond the 10th year, you are expected to devote a total of 160 hours to the task

Work Environment:

Working at a large workshop that caters to trucks utilized for delivering sheet metal, this role requires adaptability, a proactive approach to evolving tasks, and the capacity to adjust to various vehicle types.
