Kennel Technician and Receptionist

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong commitment to providing high-quality service to our furry clients. As a Kennel Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of animals in our care, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and assisting with daily operations.

Duties

• Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising pets.
• Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to lead staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and other facilities to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Handle various breeds of dogs and other animals with confidence and care.
• Support pet owners by answering questions and providing information about services offered.
• Quick on the computer, top notch organization skills, excellent communication skills
• Answer phones, voicemails, send and reply to emails, make reservations.
• Perform heavy lifting as required when moving supplies or handling larger animals.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure all animals receive the best possible care.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Pet Sitter, or in Animal Handling is preferred.
• Familiarity with Animal Care practices and Kennel operations is beneficial.
• Skills in Animal Restraint are an asset for ensuring safety during handling.
• Experience in Dog Handling is essential for managing various breeds effectively.
