Accountant II (Manufacturing / Inventory)
Location: Nassau County, NY Woodbury, NY )
Position Type: Full-Time, 100% On-Site (M-F, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Experience Level: Early Career (1–3 years maximum)
Compensation: $60,000 - $80,000/annual base + Medical/Dental/Vision Benefits

Key Performance Objectives & Responsibilities
- Month-End Execution: Drive and support month-end close processes, preparing complex journal entries, accruals, and sub-ledger reconciliations.
- Inventory & Cost Control: Manage, analyze, and reconcile transactions tied directly to physical inventory, manufacturing costs, and distribution channels.
- Variance Analysis: Monitor expenses against corporate budgets, investigate financial discrepancies, and analyze monthly sales and commission reports.
- Asset Management: Maintain accurate prepaid expense and fixed asset schedules, including depreciation entries.
- Audit & Control Support: Prepare necessary documentation for internal/external audits and proactively identify process improvements to strengthen internal controls.
Required Qualifications & Competencies
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Experience: 1 to 3 years max of hands-on corporate accounting experience.
- Industry DNA: Must come from a Manufacturing, Hard Goods, Inventory, or Distribution business model.
- Technical Skill: Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and corporate ERP systems.
- Soft Skills: A self-starter mindset is mandatory. Because your direct manager is remote, you must be motivated to work independently, ask smart questions early, and proactively seek out additional responsibilities during downtime.
