Hotel Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a dependable, self-motivated Maintenance Technician to help maintain a well-established hotel. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, takes pride in their work, and is committed to keeping a hotel operating at its best.

Starting Pay: $18.00 per hour

The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with experience in general building maintenance who is comfortable troubleshooting a wide variety of issues and knows when outside vendors are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance throughout the hotel.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general building maintenance issues.
• Maintain guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and hotel equipment.
• Assist with pool and spa maintenance, including routine water testing and chemical balancing.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from hotel staff and guests.
• Complete work orders accurately and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and complete repairs within your abilities. Coordinate with outside vendors when specialized expertise or licensing is required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance shop and mechanical areas.
• Participate in emergency and after-hours maintenance response as needed.
• Help identify potential issues before they become costly repairs.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel maintenance or commercial building maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• Pool certification or willingness to obtain certification is preferred.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be dependable, professional, and team-oriented.
