Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Line Cook to join our culinary team. This role involves preparing and cooking a variety of menu items in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality food service for our guests. Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection when needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Ensure all food handling and safety regulations are followed
- Support food preparation for catering events or special functions
- Handle food with care, adhering to proper food safety protocols
- Assist with plating and serving dishes in a timely manner
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations
- Maintain proper knife skills and use culinary equipment safely
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings preferred
- Knowledge of dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Familiarity with menu planning, fine dining, or catering is advantageous
- Strong food handling and safety knowledge
- Excellent knife skills and meal preparation abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with food service, kitchen operations, or the food industry preferred
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Prior restaurant or culinary experience is highly desirable
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $17.50 per hour
