Position Summary

The Construction Laborer supports commercial construction operations by performing a variety of physical tasks necessary to maintain project progress, jobsite safety, cleanliness, and productivity. This position assists skilled trades, operates basic tools and equipment, and helps ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate hazards including setting up and taking down temporary structures, barricades, and traffic control.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site.
  • Understand and use various construction tools and machines.
  • Able to follow direction from site supervisors.
  • Assist equipment operators, carpenters, and other skilled labor when directed
  • Operate and care for construction equipment and machines.
  • Able to lift and move 50lbs, maintain a standing position, fully kneel and crouch, climb and work off ladders on a consistent basis.
  • Able to learn new skills with attention to detail.
  • Capable of working in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Able to use small construction tools.
  • Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies.

What you need to be successful in this role

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • One year of experience working in the construction industry preferred
  • Thorough understanding of correct and safe operation of all related tools and equipment.
  • Reliable transportation

This is an hourly, non-exempt position. Compensation range is $30.00 per hour to $34.00 per hour.
