Position Summary:
The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for Derby Dental Laboratory — welcoming visitors, managing all incoming calls, and keeping front-office operations running smoothly. This person sets the tone for every interaction with our clients, dental offices, and vendors, so a warm personality and polished phone presence are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer, screen, and direct all incoming calls professionally and courteously
- Greet and assist visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel
- Triage incoming calls and assist clients with basic case questions such as expected turnaround times and case submission procedures
- Assist with data entry, invoicing support, and basic office supply management
- Relay messages accurately and follow up on pending items in a timely manner
- Support lab staff and management with administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree a plus
- 1+ year of receptionist, front desk, or customer service experience preferred
- Exceptional phone manner — clear, friendly, and professional
- Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfort learning new software
- Ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-moving environment
Dental or healthcare industry experience is a bonus, but not require
