Hiring Full‑Time Property Accountant I.

Schedule Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm.

Location Hybrid with 30% Remote Work.

Role and Responsibilities

Reconcile bank statements, security deposit cash and liability

Track reserve account activity and balances

Ensure accurate posting of monthly loan payments

Review general ledger activity; determine accruals or reclassifications and post journal entries as needed

Review monthly rent charges for accuracy and calculate vacancy loss

Review budget comparison for significant variances; communicate to Accounting Manager/Community Manager/Regional Manager as necessary

Review accounts receivable past dues; communicate potential issues to Accounting Manager/Community Manager/Regional Manager as necessary

Research and review expense patterns as needed

Process any required corrections and save final reports in a timely manner

Review and approve weekly payables based on available cash

Review and post depreciation and amortization from annual schedules

Calculate management fees, prepaid insurance

Prepare quarterly and annual reporting as needed

Prepare annual audit documentation packages

Process annual tax and insurance payments

Input annual budgets

Collaborate with accounting and management teams to complete additional analysis as needed

Additional projects, as required

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred

Minimum of 3 years' experience in accounting preferred

Preferred Skills

Strong organizational and administrative skills

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and data management software

Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
