Safety Coordinator, CA

Safety Worxs is seeking an experienced Construction Safety Professional to support a large-scale heavy civil infrastructure project in Central California. This role requires a strong field presence and the ability to lead safety efforts in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities:

Implement and enforce site-specific safety programs in alignment with OSHA standards

Conduct daily jobsite inspections, hazard assessments, and safety audits

Identify unsafe conditions and implement corrective actions

Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and workforce engagement initiatives

Support incident investigations and root cause analysis

Monitor high-risk activities (excavation, heavy equipment, lifting operations, etc.)

Maintain accurate safety documentation and reporting

Collaborate with project leadership and subcontractors to reinforce safety expectations

Qualifications:

5+ years of construction safety experience

Heavy civil construction experience preferred

Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards

CHST, or CHSO certification or safety-related college degree

Strong communication and field leadership skills

Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced construction environment
