*Job Summary*

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Wound Care Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background with specialized knowledge in wound care management. This role involves assessing, planning, and implementing care for patients with various types of wounds, ensuring optimal healing and recovery. The Wound Care Medical Assistant will work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care in outpatient setting.

*Responsibilities*

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' wounds, documenting findings accurately.
• Administer wound care treatments using appropriate techniques and medical supplies.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and overall health status regularly.
• Educate patients and their families on wound care practices and prevention strategies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including podiatry, Infectious Disease, Endocrinology, and Vascular medicine.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.

*Skills*

• Knowledge of principles related to wound healing.
• Proficient understanding of human anatomy and physiology.
• Ability to assess vital signs accurately and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
• Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to wound care is a plus.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Experience in inpatient settings medicine is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and collaboration with healthcare teams.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple patient cases efficiently.
• EHR experience.
