Little Sisters of the Poor is looking for exceptional, dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants who would enjoy caring for the elderly in our friendly, supportive, mission-based Louisville, Kentucky home! We have availability on All Shifts Full and Part-time. Shift Times

1st Shift : 6:45am-3:15pm (Base Pay $19/hr) - Current Openings

Full-Time Employee's are eligible for a pension plan after 1 year, and a no employee premium health insurance and life insurance plan after 90 days!

Essential Functions: Manuals, Policies/Procedures and Mission Integration materials for the Little Sisters are located in the Director of Nursing Services Office. A personal copy of current Employee Handbook, the Home’s Supplement and Benefit Guide are provided at time of hire.

Pay: $17.75 - $18.75 per hour

Essential Duties:

*Responsible for the hands-on nursing care of the residents during the assigned shift; rendering nursing care to the residents within an assigned unit in compliance with recognized techniques, procedures, established standards, state and federal regulations and administrative policies.

*Recognize symptoms, report resident’s condition, and assist the nurse with care and remedial measures as directed. Take and record vital signs. Document daily on Resident Care Records and Behavior Monitoring.

*Assist with resident admissions as assigned. Help orient new residents to their unit and the Home.

*Promote safety awareness with residents, staff, family and volunteers.

*Attend meetings and continuing education as required.

*Utilizes positive communication skills with residents, families, volunteers and members of the interdisciplinary care team.

*Responsible to read and implements each individual resident’s plan of care as directed by the unit charge nurse, in accordance with established methods and techniques. Assist residents with nutrition, fluid intake, elimination, hygiene, exercise, and promoting sleep as indicated.

*Direct care of equipment and supplies. Report directly to supervisor any resident needs or problems requiring attention.

*Performs other duties as necessary to fulfill the primary duties and responsibilities of the position as well as those assigned by supervisory or managerial personnel.
