GH Suite Bartender II

Description:

Experts in the art of hospitality, the Grove Hotel and the Block22 Companies create memorable experiences. We are a destination for experiences beyond the ordinary, in the heart of downtown Boise. As a Suite Bartender at the Grove Hotel, you will provide fast, high-quality beverage service for our premium suites during Steelheads games, Front Street Fights, concerts, and other live events.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Fulfill beverage orders from the suite serving team quickly and accurately at the service well.
• Pre-organize and fulfill all suite beverage catering orders prior to each event.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked bar with liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, ice, and glassware.
• Mix both standard and custom drinks using a wide range of ingredients.
• Accurately and efficiently pour draft beer and wine with minimal waste.
• Ensure all modified drinks are prepared to guest specifications.
• Communicate effectively and tactfully with suite servers and management to avoid or resolve issues.
• Set up the bar prior to each event and complete thorough cleaning/tear-down afterward.
• Maintain full knowledge of the drink menu and stay aware of all beverage offerings.
• Move and set up portable keg units as needed.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Must be Boise Alcohol Certified or be willing to obtain certification.
• Must have at least 2 years of bartending experience.
• Must be available to work Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday evenings (start time between 3 PM–5 PM).
• Must be comfortable working in a high-volume service well environment.
• Strong organizational skills and alcohol awareness required.
• Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience with suite service or large-event bartending preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 25lbs.
