Job Title: Security Receptionist

Location: Plano, TX

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Compensation: $20.00/hour

Work Hours: 40 hours/week (includes a 1-hour unpaid meal period daily)

Position Overview

We are seeking a professional and dependable Security Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for guests, employees, and vendors. This role combines front desk responsibilities with security support, ensuring a safe, secure, and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable using technology in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist all visitors, clients, and staff in a professional and courteous manner
• Monitor access control systems and verify credentials for entry
• Maintain visitor logs and issue badges in accordance with security protocols
• Conduct routine patrols, including walking for extended periods of time
• Observe and report suspicious activity or security concerns promptly
• Answer and route incoming calls, emails, or inquiries efficiently
• Operate security systems and related technology (cameras, alarms, software platforms)
• Collaborate with security personnel and management to maintain site safety
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Previous security or related experience preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• High attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately
• Must be comfortable using computers, security systems, and other technology
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
• Ability to respond quickly to situations as needed
