Position Overview
As a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will provide skilled therapy services to adult and geriatric patients in their homes under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
With a strong patient census throughout Houston, you'll have consistent opportunities to pick up visits that fit your schedule.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled physical therapy treatments in patients' homes
- Follow treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence
- Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising PT
- Complete accurate documentation using WellSky/Kinnser EMR
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety techniques
Qualifications
- Active Texas Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License
- Current CPR Certification
- Home Health experience preferred
- WellSky/Kinnser experience is a plus
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance
