Respiratory Therapist - Respiratory Care

Requirements:

• Washington allied license in hand required
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Minimum 2 years clinical experience
• Trauma experience, Level I preferred
• BLS certification required
• Additional certifications preferred: ACLS, PALS
• Experience with the following equipment is preferred: Puritan Bennett, Draeger, Trilogy, LTV1250
• Patient population experience preferred: Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Manage and wean patients from mechanical ventilation.
• Provide airway management including intubation support and tracheostomy care.
• Interpret arterial blood gas (ABG) results.
• Administer noninvasive ventilation (CPAP/BiPAP).
• Deliver aerosol and medication treatments using MDI, nebulizers, and inhaled agents.
• Participate in rapid response and code team situations.

Compliance / Notes:

• 36 hours of orientation required.
• References: 2 references covering one year within the last three years.
• Compliance documents deadline: Monday prior to start.
• Request for time off must be listed at time of submission; post-submission RTO may not be approved.
• Travelers may be expected to float to other units within the facility.
