Position Summary

Sudbeck Companies is seeking a skilled and reliable Framing Carpenter to join our construction team. This role is responsible for building and assembling the structural framework of residential and light commercial projects. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience, takes pride in quality workmanship, and works well in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Measure, cut, and assemble framing components accurately
• Install floor systems, walls, roofs, and trusses
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely
• Ensure all work meets company quality standards and building codes
• Maintain a clean and organized job site
• Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and other crew members

Qualifications

• 2+ years of framing or general carpentry experience preferred
• Ability to read and understand construction plans
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions
• Reliable transportation to job sites
• Valid driver’s license preferred

Preferred Skills

• Experience in residential construction framing
• Knowledge of construction safety practices and OSHA guidelines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic math and measuring skills
