Senior Fund Accountant $125k–$150k + Bonus | Hybrid
We are partnering with a highly successful, employee-owned alternative investment manager managing approximately $14 billion in assets. Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Fund Accountant to join its collaborative finance team and play a key role supporting a diverse portfolio of alternative investment strategies across private and public markets.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee fund accounting activities across multiple alternative investment vehicles, working closely with third-party fund administrators to ensure timely and accurate NAVs, financial statements, investor reporting, and audits
- Manage relationships with administrators, auditors, banks, and other external service providers while monitoring service quality and driving process improvements
- Coordinate fund valuations, review investment valuations, and support valuation committee materials
- Partner with investment, operations, client relations, and compliance teams on fund operations, investor requests, regulatory filings, and new product launches
- Support budgeting, treasury activities, fund cash flows, and operational initiatives across the platform
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and help enhance the firm's overall fund accounting and operating model
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of fund accounting experience within an asset manager, fund administrator, public accounting firm, or a combination of these environments
- Strong knowledge of partnership accounting and alternative investment fund structures
- Experience working with private equity, private credit, venture capital, hedge funds, or other alternative investment strategies
- Proven ability to oversee third-party fund administrators and manage multiple fund deliverables
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze and organize large data sets
- CPA or equivalent designation is preferred but not required
Why Consider This Opportunity?
- Broad exposure across multiple alternative asset classes and investment strategies
- Highly visible role with direct interaction across investment, operations, compliance, and investor relations teams
- Opportunity to own processes rather than simply execute them
- Collaborative, flat culture with meaningful exposure to senior leadership
- Strong long-term career growth into leadership as the organization continues to expand
