Duties

  • Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold high standards of hygiene.
  • Handle cleaning chemicals safely by following proper procedures outlined in Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and using appropriate protective equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness in public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and dining spaces to ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Use industrial cleaning equipment and techniques for floor care, including mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to preserve the quality of flooring surfaces.
  • Assist with heavy lifting tasks involving linens, furniture, or cleaning supplies while adhering to manual handling safety protocols.
  • Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly and accurately in case of incidents or safety concerns.
  • Document maintenance or cleaning issues accurately and report any hazards or damages to management for prompt resolution.

Experience

  • Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle chemical agents safely and effectively during cleaning routines.
  • Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and floor care techniques is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management practices and standards is a plus.
  • Familiarity with safety data sheets (SDS), heavy lifting procedures, and hotel emergency protocols ensures a safe working environment.
  • Previous hospitality experience helps in understanding guest expectations and maintaining high service standards.

Pay: $14.50 - $15.00 per hour
