Job Description:

As a Sales Associate at The UPS Store, you will be the face of our brand, providing outstanding customer service and assisting clients with their shipping, packaging, and business needs. You will play a key role in ensuring a positive customer experience while driving sales and maintaining store operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service:

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries.
  • Provide expert advice on shipping options, packaging materials, and printing services, etc.
  • Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Answer phone calls in a timely and professional manner.

2. Sales and Product Knowledge:

  • Promote and sell The UPS Store products and services, including mailbox services, shipping supplies, packaging, and printing solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date on company services, and pricing to provide accurate information to customers.
  • Upsell additional products and services to meet customer needs and increase store revenue.

3. Store Operations:

  • Process shipments, including domestic and international packages, using UPS systems.
  • Operate equipment such as printers, copiers, and POS system, etc.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked store environment.
  • Handle cash register transactions, including cash, credit, and debit payments.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous retail, sales, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Spanish speaker preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and stand for extended periods.
