We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver to join our Memory Care team.
Key Responsibilities
•
Provide hands-on personal care, including bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, and mobility assistance.
•
Support residents with memory loss, using redirection, reassurance, and person-centered care techniques.
•
Assist with feeding, meal preparation, hydration, and medication reminders.
•
Monitor resident safety, prevent wandering, and follow Memory Care safety protocols.
•
Engage residents in meaningful activities designed to promote cognitive function and emotional well-being.
•
Maintain clean and organized resident living spaces and common areas.
•
Observe and report changes in cognitive, behavioral, or physical conditions.
•
Build trusting relationships with residents and families while maintaining dignity, respect, and privacy.
Required Qualifications
•
1+ year of caregiver experience with elderly clients, preferably in a Memory Care or long-term care environment.
•
Prefer experience with dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
•
Cantonese-speaking highly preferred; English communication required.
•
Ability to pass a Live Scan background check.
Desired Qualities
•
Compassionate, patient, and skilled in dementia-sensitive communication.
•
Strong observational skills and ability to respond calmly to behavioral changes.
•
Team-oriented with a high level of professionalism and reliability.
•
Ability to follow structured care plans and safety procedures.
Schedule & Employment Details
•
Contract Length: 3–6 months (possibility of permanent hire).
•
Setting: Memory Care community.
•
Employment Type: Contract
•
Start Date: ASAP.
•
Shift: NOC schedule Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday 11:00 PM–7:30 AM
