Position: Bartenders (Westchester-6 months exp. required)
Historic Hudson Valley (HHV) is a Westchester-based cultural non‑profit that welcomes visitors to four National Historic Landmarks and presents public tours, school programs, and seasonal festivals.
HHV’s Retail Department is seeking Bartenders with at least 6 months of bartending experience
. The Bartenders contribute to the success of Historic Hudson Valley’s fall events, including The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze event, by ensuring the visitors have positive experiences. The Bartender will serve beer and wine based on customer requests. Duties include verifying the identification and age of customers, preparing and serving alcoholic beverages, and accepting payment from customers. Additionally, the position requires:
Primary Duties
- Serve beer and wine
- Verify identification and age requirements of customers
- Process payment from customers
- Record and balance cash receipts and prepare cash deposit
- Keep bar area clean and tidy
- Change and tap kegs
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
- At least 6 months of bartending experience
- Impeccable customer service and social perceptiveness
- Ability to enforce company policies regarding the consumption of alcohol
- Accountability in maintaining inventory and processing payment
- Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- TIPS certification preferred, but HHV can arrange to get employees certified at no cost
Work Conditions

- Weekend, holiday and evening availability in support of HHV programs/events
This is a part‑time seasonal position; evening and weekend hours at special events are required.
Pay rate is $30/hr.
