Trinity Christian Preschool Teacher
I. Purpose
Trinity Christian School exists to build Christ-followers who love, live, and lead as Jesus
modeled. Under the supervision of the preschool director and /or assistant director, the
preschool teacher is responsible for the general supervision and management of children
between the ages of two through six years of age.
Ephesians 4:11-13 || Develop a team that is fully qualified to serve the Lord by serving one
another.
II. Responsibilities
- Teach lessons using a variety of methods to develop critical learning, analysis,
application, and problem-solving skills utilizing the prescribed course of study.
- Teach classes consistent with age-groups and inspire students to learn the knowledge,
skills, and subject matter of the assigned area contributing to their development as
mature Christians through the integration of Biblical principles.
- Create a positive learning environment for students of all abilities and backgrounds
- Access and integrate online and other technology resources
- Maintain an organized classroom
- Evaluate student progress using a variety of assessment tools
- Communicate with parents regularly about students’ progress
- Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following:
- Providing a program that meets the spiritual, social, emotional, physical and cognitive
needs of both the individual and the group.
- Planning, implementing and supervising the program for the class in accordance with
the policies and philosophy of the school.
- Implementing daily and weekly experiences based on the general and specific age
group objectives for the children.
- Preparing and maintaining a warm and safe environment that is orderly, clean and
appealing, and permits the child to explore.
- Interacting with children and encouraging their involvement in activities.
- Establishing and maintaining good communication with parents through daily contact,
and formal conferences as needed.
- Observing, recording and reporting significant individual and group behavior.
- Using appropriate and positive discipline and training subordinate staff so that discipline
is consistent.
- Assisting in the positive promotion of the school by attending/planning/helping with
sponsored events.
- Attending all staff meetings and other meetings/functions as need arises. Participating in
recommended training programs, conferences, etc. geared for professional growth.
- Implementing methods for effectively utilizing the services of classroom assistants;
providing opportunities for assistants to have input into the weekly lesson plans
III. Relationships
A. Senior Pastor & School Superintendent – All administrators, and staff of Trinity Christian
Preschool serves as a ministry of Trinity Life Center led by the Senior Pastor.
B. Principal – All faculty and staff directly accountable to the Principal in all matters relating
to the performance of his/her work.
C. Preschool Director – All preschool staff directly accountable to the Preschool Director in
all matters relating to the performance of his/her work.
D. Other Staff Members – He/She will cooperate and work as a “team” member with other
staff. He will seek to compliment and build other staff ministries, accepting differences,
praising strengths, and appreciating overlapping skills.
lV. Personal Responsibilities

- Be loyal to the vision and staff of Trinity Life Center and always protect the unity
of the church.

Teacher Aide Requirements,Qualifications
Under the supervision of the preschool director and /or assistant director, and lead preschool teacher, the
Aide is responsible for assisting in supervision of children, restroom
Legal Requirements & Qualifications for Aide 18 years old + & NO ECE Units
- An aide shall work only under the direct supervision of a teacher
- 18 years of age
- A High school diploma or equivalent
- No college units are required.
- In good physical health (verified by a health screening form signed by the person
performing the screening, including a TB test and indicating physical qualifications to
perform the duties assigned and stating any health condition that would create a
hazard to the person, children, or other staff members
- Proof of immunization -TDap, MMR,
- Influenza is optional, and employee must submit a written note declining shot
- Trained in :nutrition, food preparation and storage, and menu planning
housekeeping and sanitation principles, including universal health precautions
provision of child care and supervision, including communication
assistance with prescribed medications that are self administered, and
recognition of early signs of illness and the need for professional assistance
