About the Role

EP Custom Products is a leader in high-quality, custom-fabricated HVAC components. We don’t just sell parts; we provide critical solutions for contractors, engineers, and facility managers.

We are looking for a field-savvy Technical Sales Representative to join our team. This is not a high-pressure cold-calling job. We need someone who speaks the language of HVAC installation open a set of blueprints, and help a contractor figure out the right curb adaptor, drop box, or custom component to solve their field problem.

This is a stable, hourly-paid position with no commission pressure. We value long-term relationship building and technical accuracy over aggressive sales quotas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Blueprint Takeoffs: Review mechanical plans to identify requirements for custom HVAC components (curb adaptors, concentric diffusers, equipment rails, etc.).
  • Custom Solutions: Work closely with our shop team to translate field requirements into custom-fabricated solutions that meet the contractor’s exact needs.
  • Technical Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for contractors regarding product specs, installation compatibility, and project lead times.
  • Project Follow-up: Track active projects from the initial quote through to final delivery to ensure the contractor has everything they need for a successful install.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Field Experience: 3–5 years in HVAC installation, service, or distribution. You must have "been in the field" and understand the daily challenges of a job site.
  • Blueprint Literacy: Proven ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and architectural drawings.
  • Fabrication Mindset: Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication, rooftop units, and air distribution systems (curbs, plenums, diffusers).
  • Professional Communication: Ability to explain technical solutions clearly to both field techs and project managers.
  • Reliability: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. This role requires daily local travel to job sites.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficient with email, basic estimation tools, and Microsoft Office/Excel.

Why Join Us?

  • Stable Pay: A reliable $22.00 – $30.00/hr flat rate. No ups and downs, no commission stress.
  • Expert Environment: Work with a team that prides itself on precision, engineering, and quality fabrication.
