Pharmacy Tech; Part Time Varied

Position: PHARMACY TECH (PART TIME VARIED)

Responsibilities

Pharmacy Technicians, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department. They help prepare and distribute medications, maintain the drug inventory and keep records, and operate in accordance with written procedures, guidelines, and state and federal regulations. They do not perform tasks that only a registered pharmacist is legally authorized to perform.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience, preferable in a hospital setting.
• Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features (i.e., optimization, load/unload, nursing narcotic access, etc.).
• Current license as Pharmacy Technician in the State of Nevada, with certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or the National Health career Association.
