Overview

We are seeking a Telemetry LPN , sometimes referred to as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse . As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) you will assist with patients that require continuous monitoring of their heart activity and vital signs. The Tele LPN will provid e basic nursing care while supporting the specialized needs of telemetry patients . Working alongside RNs, physicians, and other healthcare team members to provide patient care our hospital's Telemetry unit , LPNs focus on assisting with patient care and ensuring comfort and safety.

Shift’s Available:   Days

Employment Type: Per Diem

Hours: 7a-7:30p

Location : Dallas Regional Medical Center – Mesquite, TX

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • M onitor patients using telemetry equipment that tracks heart rhythms and other vital signs , you will assist in identifying irregularities or signs of distress
  • N otify the proper staff about significant changes in a patient’s telemetry readings or condition
  • M easure and record blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, and oxygen saturation
  • M aintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including telemetry data and observations
  • H elp our telemetry patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, and eating
  • E xplain procedures and telemetry monitoring to patients and their families to alleviate concerns
  • W ork under the supervision of RNs and report directly to them regarding patient care issues

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

  • Current and valid state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
  • Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • IV certification upon hire
