Job Overview

Goehring Dental is seeking an experienced Surgical Dental Assistant to join our clinical team.

We are looking for a skilled, dependable, and patient-focused assistant who thrives in a surgical environment and is committed to delivering exceptional care.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctor during surgical and implant procedures
• Prepare and maintain treatment rooms for sterile surgical workflow
• Take and process digital radiographs and intraoral scans
• Provide pre- and post-operative patient instructions and support
• Maintain strict OSHA, infection control, and sterilization protocols
• Collaborate with clinical team to ensure smooth patient flow

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of current surgical dental assisting experience (required)
• Experience with IV sedation cases (required)
• Current Texas RDA license
• CPR certification
• Experience with implant surgery, extractions, and bone grafting
• Familiarity with digital dentistry (CBCT, intraoral scanning) a plus
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
