Staff Accountant

A well-established organization in the Tumwater area is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the accounting team during a period of growth and increased workload. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys contributing in a mission-driven environment and has experience supporting month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.Candidates with previous non-profit, government, municipal, education, or public sector accounting experience are highly encouraged to apply.Prepare and post journal entriesPerform bank and general ledger account reconciliationsAssist with month-end and year-end close activitiesAnalyze financial data and research account discrepanciesSupport grant, fund, or program accounting activitiesPrepare supporting schedules and audit documentationAssist with financial reporting and budget trackingMaintain compliance with internal controls and accounting policiesPartner with department leaders to ensure accurate financial reporting
